Strained eyes
I’m not entirely sure at which point in my academic career that this became a thing, but I’ve come to realize that no professor ever assigns anything anymore that doesn’t require me to look at a screen. Unless it’s studying—and even then THAT often involves a screen—we are looking at computers and phones and generally just staring into the abyss of the internet all day long.
All. Day. Long.
I’m sick of looking at the world on a screen, or through a screen, or with a screen at all. I want to just look at the world, y’know? All I’m saying is there’s a lot to learn that doesn’t involve a log-in.
Or isn’t there?
